I've spent the last couple of days making more samples.
This time some little origami fold books with embroidered covers for a class I'm teaching on Friday 30th September.
I'll be at Bee Crafty in Huntingdon which is a new venue for me.
That's because Bee Crafty is a new store, only open since August 6th so it's all very exciting.
I believe there are a couple of places left on the class so I would love it if you could join us for the day.
Apparently there's free cake too!

Gina, I've been having a catch up on your recent posts, and have had a fine time seeing where you've been and what you've been working on.
I never before knew about Henry Moore's work being translated into tapestry. It was very interesting to see the ball point pen drawing of sheep.
I very much like the dense embroidery with the daisies. You are definitely on to something there.
Best wishes on your upcoming class. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be there, and not just for the cake. xo
Beautiful! I am making books with the kids in our craft club (age 9-12). I'd love to see the interior of the book...love the colours that you chose.

Lovely covers - I really like the dark verdigris palette you've used.
Very lovely, sounds like it is going to be a great class. Even the temptation of cake won't be enough to enable me to have a day off work.

They're gorgeous covers Gina and the mention of free cake got my attention - pity it's too far to travel because that sounds like a wonderful workshop you're running there. Have to say how stunning your daisy panel is in the previous post - it's got such amazing depth and is truly beautiful.

I've always wished I could be in one of your classes! Maybe some day I'll come to England just for that.
I wanted to stop by to wish you good luck with your MA. I'll bet it will all go smoothly. Part of the problem for me is that I only decided to do it about a month before classes began and I have commitments that I cannot undo. I'm hoping that in a few weeks, I'll get used to this new rhythm. But yes, let's support each other. We have so much in common including a deep love of cake!
Just to say how wonderful your books look, do you on line instructions for making these. I am unable to get to classes for health reasons but I really enjoy making books.
Maybe it is something you could do as I see from other comments that lots would love to do the course but live to far away.
